RBC Student Spotlight: Dave Engerer

Posted On May 18, 2023

Online courses at Reformation Bible College are designed to help students of any age and in any stage of life grow in their knowledge of Scripture, develop a Christian worldview, and learn how to defend the truth of the gospel. One of our online students, Dave Engerer, wanted to learn more about Scripture and be better equipped to serve the church where he is a member, so he enrolled in Biblical Theology II.

“My experience studying with RBC online has been great! Being online fits my schedule well, especially since I work remotely. The class livestreams were easy to access, broadcasted very well, and edifying to me.”

Dave, a professional skateboarder and snowskater from Kalamazoo, Michigan, co-directs the Midwest division of Malchus Skateboard Ministries with his wife, Emma. Dave and Emma also manage rental properties and lead weekly Bible studies for men and women in their city.

As a new Christian, Dave was introduced to Ligonier Ministries and Reformed theology by a friend. He benefited greatly from the faithful Reformed teaching that Ligonier provided and heard about RBC while he was attending a Ligonier conference in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan.

Dave shared what being an online student at RBC has meant to his life and ministry:

“My learning at RBC has helped me serve in our church to an even greater capacity. It has also helped bless our time during Bible study, where we study verse by verse through Scripture. I’ve felt much more grounded and confident while I teach since becoming an RBC student.”
