Apologetics

Course Description

Dr. Stephen Nichols will challenge you to consider arguments for the existence of God, the authority of the Bible, and the exclusiveness of the gospel. In a world of competing truth claims and other religions, Dr. Nichols will establish why belief in Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation and help you defend the Christian faith.

A Letter From the Instructor

Dear Student,

I am so glad and honored that you are considering taking Apologetics. I think this course is crucial, even urgent. It is so important for Christians not only to know what they believe but also to be able to defend those beliefs and to contend for them. We face significant challenges and rather hard questions. In this course, we learn where we can go to find answers. We’ll consider that God is, that He exists, and that He is the Creator of all things. We’ll consider that God speaks and that the Bible is a reliable and trustworthy book. Finally, we’ll see that God saves, and He saves in and through Jesus Christ alone. Along the way, we’ll consider objections from secularism, pluralism, and Islam.

Thanks again for considering taking Apologetics. I would be delighted to have you join us.

Warm regards in Christ, Dr. Nichols
