Tanner Johnson Named First Lippencott Scholar

At Ligonier’s National Conference, RBC Chancellor, RC Sproul, and RBC President, Stephen Nichols, announced Tanner Johnson as the recipient of the First Lippencott Scholar Award. The Lippencott Scholar Award is made possible by the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff and Stephanie Lippencott. Having a long and distinguished career in music, Jeff Lippencott recently collaborated with Dr. Sproul on the hymn project, Glory to the Holy One.  Tanner Johnson transferred to RBC from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, one of the nation’s leading music conservatories. The Lippencott scholar award provides full tuition for the senior year for a student in the sacred music program. “I can think of no better inaugural recipient for this significant and generous award than Tanner Johnson. He models both graciousness and excellence,” said Dr. Nichols.
