Meet the Students Impacted by Your Support

A letter from our president, Dr. Stephen Nichols
Dear Friend of RBC,
Over this past year, Paul’s words in 2 Timothy 3 have been playing out before our very eyes.
We have seen difficult days, and we all sense that things are “going from bad to worse.” At the center of much of the cultural turmoil is higher education, as seen in the moral failure of university presidents and the egregious behavior of both students and faculty. As I reflect on all this, I have a greater appreciation for Reformation Bible College and a greater sense of urgency for what God is doing here on the campus and in the lives of RBC students.
As we look at our present moment, we do not have to be overcome by anxiety or fear. We know God will bring about His sovereign purposes, and we know that Christ will build His church. Yet we also know that Christians have an obligation to be salt and light and to push against the darkness that has engulfed so many. That is why it is exciting to think of the students at RBC and the impact they will have on the church and on the culture in this next generation.
I’d like you to meet some of our graduates and students.
Sam and Maria graduated this past May. They met and married here at RBC. Both went on our one-week intensive course on missions held at the headquarters of The Voice of the Martyrs. Throughout their time at RBC, Sam and Maria have been very active members of their church and have been preparing in and out of the classroom to go into missions.
Other graduates from the class of 2024 are headed to seminaries. In addition to being a student, Ben has worked in Admissions. He’s heading to seminary and then hopes to pastor in the denomination where his father also serves. Our graduates are also going out to teach in classical Christian schools and to pursue further education to prepare for their callings.
Ethan is one of our current students from Canada. He’s a key member of our Reformation Chorale. The Chorale has even performed one of Ethan’s compositions. He hopes to use his gifts and musical talents in service of the church. Isabella is another of our international students who has excelled. Her plans are to return to Central America to teach and to translate theological texts into Spanish.
Natalie takes courses both here at RBC and in nursing. She wants to be prepared to serve wherever God leads her. And Andrew has been a leader among his peers. He’s served as a teaching assistant, using his gifts to serve his fellow classmates. After RBC, he plans to attend seminary and become a pastor.
All of these graduates and students could not have come to RBC without the generous support of friends like you. We strive to keep tuition low to keep an education at RBC within reach. To continue doing this, we’re asking for your financial help.
This year, we need to raise $2 million. Through the very generous gift of $1 million, a dear friend of RBC has brought us halfway there and is encouraging others to join in. We are encouraged and humbled by this gift. We are now looking to you to help us acquire the remaining $1 million dollars and reach our goal.
Since our founding in 2011, God has continued to bless RBC, growing our campus, student body, and impact. Our founder, Dr. R.C. Sproul, wanted RBC to be a small, intimate college where dedicated faculty could educate and disciple the next generation. Above all, R.C. wanted RBC to remain faithful to its doctrinal commitments and faithful to its vision. He also wanted RBC to have a wide and far-reaching impact on the next generation.
History has proven that a small group of dedicated people can accomplish great things and have a significant and lasting impact. That was R.C.’s prayer for RBC. By God’s grace, we are seeing his vision come to fruition with each passing semester. We have graduates in pulpits and other pastoral service in the church, teaching in classical Christian schools, serving in missions and in ministries, and in the workforce. It is encouraging to think of the influence these graduates and students will have over the course of their lifetime.
Please consider helping students such as Sam and Maria, Isabella, and Andrew get an education at RBC by giving to the Every Generation campaign for this year. Again, we are already halfway there to meeting our need. Your gift will go a long way in helping us reach this goal. In these dark and difficult days, we have a tremendous opportunity to produce students who are knowledgeable in God’s Word, articulate, and poised to be servant-leaders in this next generation.
Thank you for standing with RBC. And thank you for considering a gift to the Every Generation campaign.
