Announcing Our 2026 Essay Contest Winners

Posted On April 14, 2026

In Philippians 4:8–9, the Apostle Paul admonishes Christians to think on things that are excellent—such as truth, justice, goodness, and beauty.

This year, prospective students were invited to submit essays on any theme drawn from this passage for the opportunity to receive a full scholarship for their first year at Reformation Bible College. Each 4,500-word essay was expected to engage thoughtfully with Paul’s exhortation, with freedom to explore topics such as the cultivation of true virtue and the relationship between truth and beauty.

It is our pleasure to congratulate Marybeth from Arizona, the winner of our 2026 Essay Contest and the recipient of a full-tuition scholarship for her first year at RBC. Marybeth’s essay distinguished itself through strong theological reasoning grounded in thoughtful biblical analysis of the material and meaningful application of the passage to the Christian life.

As she prepares to join the RBC community, Marybeth shared with us:

“I thank God through Christ for this great blessing and opportunity. I am so excited to be attending RBC this coming semester. All thanksgiving be to my God forever. Soli Deo gloria.”

We also want to recognize several other entries for their excellence. Caleb from Mississippi, Elijah from Virginia, and Ethne from New Hampshire each earned an honorable mention scholarship for the quality of their work.

We’re grateful to everyone who participated, and we invite you to join us in congratulating our winners.
