In Case You Missed It: 2023 Commencement Exercises

Posted On May 10, 2023

This past Friday, we held our 2023 commencement exercises at Saint Andrew’s Chapel in Sanford, Fla. This year, we had the largest graduating class in Reformation Bible College’s history with 94 graduates. Among this class, we were honored to have students from Canada, The Bahamas, and 31 states in the United States.

After an opening hymn and prayer, our president, Dr. Stephen Nichols, congratulated our graduates, recalled some key events that occurred during their time at RBC, and shared about some of the plans that our graduates have for their future.

We were pleased to have Dr. Steven Lawson deliver the graduation address. Dr. Lawson, president and founder of OnePassion Ministries and a Ligonier Ministries teaching fellow, spoke on 2 Corinthians 1:26–31. He encouraged our graduates that because of God’s sovereign grace in salvation, they are able to pursue humility in Christ throughout all of life.

Immediately following the college hymn, “Clothed in Righteousness,” written by Dr. R.C. Sproul, we enjoyed a performance by our very own Reformation Chorale, and then Dr. Nichols formally bestowed upon the 2023 graduating class their degrees.

After a prayer of dedication by Dr. Keith Mathison, professor of systematic theology, Dr. Nichols officially presented the graduating class of 2023 to all in attendance.

We give thanks to God for our graduates, and we are grateful to everyone who has prayed for and supported RBC over the years. Your giving is an investment in students like these. As they transition into their various vocations and callings, please keep our graduates in your prayers.
