Reformation Bible College Announces Davis Family Foundation Scholarship Fund

Posted On May 13, 2016

At Reformation Bible College’s fourth commencement, Dr. Stephen Nichols, President of Reformation Bible College, announced the school’s largest scholarship: The Davis Family Foundation Scholarship Fund. This gracious gift was established by long-time friends of Ligonier Ministries and RBC, Beverly Davis, President of the Davis Family Foundation, and her husband, Rick Litchfield. This scholarship will be funded at $400,000 by June 2017 and will have a significant impact in helping fund tuitions for both incoming students and students in their graduating year.

Dr. Nichols emphasized how grateful he is for this generous act of stewardship. “We believe that this gift is simply the beginning of gifts to come for this fund for our student scholarships, so that we have commencements for years to come, so that we can graduate students who believe and who will proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe in the urgency of what we are doing here.”

Mr. Litchfield spoke to a group of supporters at a recent Ligonier Ministries event, encouraging and challenging others to invest in the students at the college. “As I look at what the ministry has done and invested in people, I know what the investment has meant in my life. I know these scholarships will help those students.”

While RBC strives to keep a biblically sound, theologically rich education affordable, the need for scholarship funding is still great. Due to the generosity of our donors, RBC is able to offer a lower tuition than most colleges and universities, and the scholarship allows many of the students to graduate carrying little or no debt so they can focus on their ministry and their life’s vocation.
