Fifth Annual Reformation Bible College Convocation Service

Posted On September 21, 2015

On Friday, September 18, Reformation Bible College held its fifth annual convocation service at Saint Andrew’s Chapel as part of Ligonier Ministries’ 2015 Fall Conference at RBC and the RBC Fall Preview Weekend.

The RBC convocation service heralded the beginning of a new academic year at the college. The service began with the mighty sounds of “Highland Cathedral,” featuring Reginald Lyle on bagpipes and Terry Yount on organ. The faculty, led by RBC President Dr. Stephen J. Nichols, processed in full academic regalia to the hymn “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.”

Dr. Nichols prayed the prayer of invocation and introduced Dr. John MacArthur to deliver Reformation Bible College’s convocation address.

In his address, Dr. John MacArthur reminded the students of their high and holy calling to proclaim the message of reconciliation to the world; the truth that sinners can have their sin forgiven is the greatest truth the human mind can ever understand. He then explained how God secured salvation and the appropriate response to this message.

Dr. R.C. Sproul and the board, staff, and faculty of Reformation Bible College and Ligonier Academy of Biblical and Theological Studies are grateful to God for His blessings in the work of RBC, for the prayers of God’s people for the college, and for the Lord’s continued provision.
